Winter has arrived in Okinawa!

On Christmas Day, Bryce was playing with his sand table in shorts and a t-shirt....

Then, the cold weather arrived this weekend and we were all bundled up to go for our walk last night...

(You would think they way Bryce is dressed that we were heading into the Artic but sadly, cold to us these days is 63 degrees. Next winter will be rough for us!)

Christmas Lights

On Christmas Night, we all went to the Botanical Gardens to see the Christmas light display. The lights were beautiful and they had the lights set up like a jungle, under the sea, a golf course and lights in the water. Bryce had a good time playing at the playground and running around seeing all the lights.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Bryce had a good first Christmas (as you can see by the pics). He became a pro at unwrapping his presents pretty quickly. He got lots of fun new toys and books. Right now, his favorite is his very loud lawn mower from his Aunt Lori. He decided to take a break from all the toys and laid down in the wrapping paper.

Sunday night was Wayne's Squadron Christmas party. So, we got all dressed up and for the second time, we had an adult night out and Bryce got to hang out with our wonderful next door neighbor, Alison.

Now that my Finals are over (whew!) and my last batch of cookies have been baked, I can finally sit down and add some new pics of Bryce. St. Nick came to visit us the begining of December so Bryce got some practice on unwrapping presents...

Bryce was cracking us up at Tinsel Town because Christmas music was playing and he would periodically stop running to dance to the Christmas music.

Another day at the playground

It seems like every weekend we're trying out a new indoor or outdoor playground. This weekend we decided to load up the bikes and the bike trailer and try to burn off some of the calories from our Thanksgiving dinner. :) We got a lot of funny looks from the Japanese because apparently they've never seen a bike trailer before. We stopped along the way to let Bryce get out and try out the latest playground...

We had to keep a close watch on Bryce at the fish pond because we were afraid he was going to jump in...

So much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving...

Butterfly Park

We went to the butterfly park this weekend where we learned that Bryce is terrified of butterflies. I think that he liked the butterflies so long as they weren't landing on him or around him. Butterflies must love the color yellow because they were all over Wayne's shirt and even the yellow in his shoes.

Monakids Jungle

We went to an indoor playground on Saturday and Bryce had a great time. The playground has 3 slides (including 1 roller slide), tunnels, and ball pits. I underestimated his abilities not thinking he would be able to do much and he proved me wrong. He was crawling up ladders, going down the slides by hisself and crawling through all the tunnels. He was a sweaty little boy when it was time to go home.

Bryce was a puppy dog for his first Halloween. His daddy wasn't able to make it home to go trick-or-treating so, we went to go see him at work. Then, Bryce got to go to a couple of houses to trick-or-treat. The rest of the night, he hung out with mom handing out candy to all of the kids.
