Super Typhoon Man-yi

I know that some of you have been watching the news and saw that Okinawa and Japan were hit by Typhoon Man-yi this weekend. It was a Category 4 typhoon with 112 mile per hour winds when it hit here on Friday but luckily the houses here are built out of concrete so, the only damage our base sustained was a bunch of downed trees. The radio was saying this morning that we got 16 inches of rain. We all went out for a walk last night and literally whole trees had been ripped out of the ground during the typhoon. The typhoon started Thursday evening and we were house bound until Saturday morning. Here are some pics out of our back door...

You can see one of our little trees bent to the ground in the far left corner of the pic

Bryce Update

Hello! Sorry I haven't been doing as well posting new pics of Bryce. But, like I told my mom, it's too hot to do anything outside so, we haven't been up to much lately. We've taken Bryce to the pool a few times and he has fun playing in the water and being around all the other kids. He gets to go to a Water Babies class next week. We also go to a play group once a week that he's really enjoying. He's learning new things every day. Right now we're working on getting him to eat with his fork. We'll put the food on the fork, hand it to him, he'll eat off of it and then hand it back to us to re-load for him. He waves "bye-bye", he can take 3-4 steps by himself, likes to play with his blow up airplane and makes plane noises, and sings "la, la, la" with Elmo's World.
