Bryce's 1st Birthday

Bryce had a good 1st birthday. He had an Elmo cake & decorations. He ate most of his chocolate cake (what he didn't eat ended up in his high chair). We took him on the patio afterwards and let him play in his pool to rinse the cake off of him. After swimming, he got to play with his new toys.

We're having a good time visiting with grandma & grandpa. They made it here okay and Bryce is already having fun playing with them. Both grandma & grandpa are spoiling him by feeding him cookies. Bryce is enjoying showing off his room and all of his toys.

I keep saying that any day now Bryce will just up and run around the house. We've now gone from just walking along one side of the coffee table to walking around the coffee table. He only moves to the left though so, we'll have to work with getting him to walk around the table going to his right. His motivation to move around the table, a papertowel roll...

Sleepy Boy

Today was Bryce's Well Baby exam. He is right on schedule developmentally and weighs 21.5 pounds and is 29 inches long. He had one shot today to get him caught up on his immunizations and then receives his 12 month shots next week. He also had blood drawn today. Needless to say, he was pretty pooped out after all of that...

Day at the Beach

It was a beautiful day today so we decided to take Bryce for his first trip to the beach. He was a little unsure of the sand at first but then decided that he loved it and even tried to eat some of it. He had fun playing with his bucket and shovel that grandma & grandpa sent him. We didn't stay out for too long because as you can see, we're all pretty pale and I didn't want anyone to get a sunburn (yes, I'm already an overprotective mother).
